For generations we have been a fruit-growing family in the Lower Rhineland. We now farm our 20ha large fruit orchard according to biodynamic methods based on Rudolf Steiner’s agricultural principles.

Our orchard undergoes an annual certification process by an officially recognised supervising body of the European Union as well as since 1982 by the Demeter Association.

A few years ago, the first beaver to settle in the Lower Rhineland region in 130 years chose our orchard as its new home providing proof that our biodynamic work and nature conservancy complement each other beautifully. As a result of this “freely chosen” settlement by one beaver, an entire beaver reintroduction project started under the guidance of the Lebendiger Niederrhein e.V. – an association in Wesel dedicated to the beaver. We strongly support the objectives of this association.
